What travelers say
A snapshot of guest ratings and stories behind the stay.
“Myself and 2 others stayed at the hotel. The greeting upon arrival was wonderful. Even the resident cat purred. The whole experience was warm, friendly and superb value for money. We are already thinking of when we can stay again. Highly recommended.”
“Lovely location, attentive staff, great breakfast. We accidently locked our key in the room, and one of the staff were prepared to climb a ladder to access the room. Luckily a cleaner knew the knack of opening the door. Saving so much hassle. We started off with a twin room, but a cancellation meant that we were upgraded to a better double room, at no extra cost. That is what you call service. The tabby cat has a lot of character. Highly recommend.”
“We had a great stay. The room was lovely, my only minor grumbles are it would have been nice to have a glass or paper cup in the bathroom. And the absence of batteries in the hand mirror mirror, or a light above the bathroom mirror, made it tricky getting ready to go out. Apart from that (& I'm being very picky there), it really was great. Huge thanks to chef for swapping my hash browns for fried bread at breakfast - & what a breakfast it was, set us up for the whole day. I really liked the outdoor area too. It was lovely sitting under the shelter with a cup of tea (Yorkshire tea bags in the rooms) watching the world go by. We'll most certainly be returning.”
“Had a lovely stay here, nothing is too much trouble and the room was top notch! We had a full English breakfast which was also spot on. Definitely recommend staying here and popping into the crown for some food aswell!”
